1739 Delta Drive, Aurora isn’t just a house, it’s a home. Read from the owners why:
When we first saw photos under the listing for 1739 Delta Drive back in 2006, we knew it was the house for us. It had everything we were looking for including the open floor plan, hardwood floors, and a fireplace. It was a bit outside our budget at the time, but we decided to tour the house anyway. Our realtor lined up four houses for us to see and we dutifully toured each one.
However, 1739 Delta Drive was the only house we fell in love with, so we had to make it work. We put in an offer that same day and the rest is, as they say, history. Since then we’ve had eight great years raising our family in this house.
One perk to the house that we didn’t think much about at the time of purchase was the school system, so we were pleasantly surprised when our children reached school age. Homestead Elementary is one of the top ranked schools around, and I have to say it does live up to its ranking. Our children learned a lot and made wonderful friends who all live nearby. It will be sad to move on.
Other things we will miss include all the improvements we made to the house to really make it a home. From the kitchen and bath upgrades to finishing the basement, the house really transformed into a home for our growing family.
Perhaps the thing we will miss the most is the thing that we spent the most time on over the years: the landscaping. When we moved in the yard was devoid of anything seen today: no landscaping, no fence, and not much grass. Over the years we spent a lot of time turning the yard into a place for our children to play, including adding a fence and sandbox in the backyard to make our own little oasis right in our back yard. We’ve spent many hours sitting out there enjoying the weather and watching our kids play.
We spent eight wonderful years at 1739 Delta Drive, but now it is time to move on as our family has grown. Our only hope is that the house can serve as great a home for the next owners as it did to us.
